Honda F6B - " It's the 'Bentley' of Motorcycles"

Another priceless moment was while shooting some video on Crenshaw Blvd for the ‘Low-Rider Sundays,’I was swarmed by 10 LAPD motorcycle officers.  After the officers dismounted their Harleys in Krispy Kreme’s parking lot they made a bee-line over to the F6B. While circling the bike like a school of sharks they pummeled me with questions about my trusty steed.  Luckily I did my homework. Only two of the officers knew Honda made the F6B. They were amazed and had no idea Honda chopped the Gold Wing and made such a gorgeous bike. I had to take a photo so I could prove such a priceless moment. Theofficers were very nice. Later when they saw me cruising The Crenshaw Strip they waved. That was a first!

It was a good thing I met the motorcycle officers that day because the following weekend I attended a Ride for Trayvon Martin. 500+ motorcycles and 100+ Classic cars all joined in for a police escorted ride around South Los Angeles. Everyone was honking their horns and showing support for Trayvon along the way. The ride ended at Magic Johnson’s Park where we were greeted by Mayor Villarigosa, Police Chief Gates, another 1000+ Trayvon supporters and local TV Media. Of course I was the only Honda F6B rider; so I got plenty of stares and questions. I would often find plenty admirers surrounding the bike when I would return to check on it. Over all it was a great day for a great cause on the ‘baddest’ bike in the Parade.

The Honda F6B Gold Wing is by far the most elegant, stylish, sophisticated and powerful touring motorcycle there is.  The F6B really is the “Bentley” of motorcycles. Although it has a 6.6 gallon tank and gets an impressive 34mpg, the time I had the F6B didn’t allow for an overnighter or long haul on the bike. On the comfort level on local hops and grocery store runs, the F6B gets a “10”. It never wore me down. Honda has the most comfortable seat in the business. It is rare that my‘bum’ never gets sore, even after 4 hours in the saddle. The bike feels light, agile and comes with plenty of storage space. The sporty windscreen on the F6B allows you to become one with the elements. A nice air-flow would hit me right in the moustache with my 6”1’ frame. All the radio accessories are easily accessible just like the grand-daddy GW. The display also lets you know the outside temperature. Using the auxiliary connection I plugged in my smart phone and tuned into Pandora where I chose my favorite jams cruising all the way up the Malibu Coast. Optional accessories available are a center-stand, self-canceling turn signals, taller windscreen, backrest and heated grips.  The F6B worked well for my daily commute needs and was stupendous for the Malibu Mountain get-aways, coastal rides and romantic sunset runs with my sweetheart. Also the fairing does an outstanding job blocking the engines heat while sitting in traffic. If you need to split lanes, it’s not impossible with the contoured saddle bags. I challenge any luxury tour rider to experience the F6B.“Damnn! I’m really gonna miss the F6B.” MSRP $19,999 Visit:www.powersports.honda.com
